FAQ

What does MSPercury cost?

Three tiers, billed monthly, cancellable monthly, no minimum term:

  • Free — €0. Single operator, a limited but genuinely useful feature set. The first 100 workspaces (the Founding-100 cohort) keep the Free tier permanently.
  • Solo — €59 / $59 / £49 / CA$79 / MX$1,099 per month, flat. Every Pro feature, for a single-operator MSP.
  • Team — €49 / $49 / £39 / CA$65 / MX$929 per user / month. Everything in Solo plus a multi-user workspace.

The difference between Solo and Team is seats, not features — a one-person shop gets the whole toolkit on Solo. There’s no annual contract and no auto-renewal trap.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. Signup is email plus a 6-digit verification code — no card, no invite code, no phone number. You only reach Stripe Checkout if and when you choose to upgrade to Solo or Team.

I was on the old pay-what-you-want model — what happens to me?

Pay-what-you-want was retired when the tiered plans launched. Existing workspaces were moved onto the matching tier (active Pro subscribers landed on Team, grandfathered at the same price). Nothing was lost; your access didn’t change.

Where is my data stored?

In Hetzner Cloud, Germany. EU only. No third-country transfer in the hot path, no US sub-processors touching your customer records. Backups are written nightly to a separate Hetzner volume in the same jurisdiction. If that needs to change for a specific customer, we tell you before we do it.

Is my data isolated from other MSPs?

Yes — strict tenant isolation. Your customers, quotes, IT Assessments and catalog are scoped to your workspace and never visible to another. The single, documented exception is the anonymous benchmark on the public-IT Assessment result page: a prospect sees how their score compares to similar companies, as an aggregate, with a hard minimum sample size before any number is shown. No record is ever exposed.

Do my customers need an account?

No. Customers receive a share link — a postal-code-gated, time-limited URL that opens the quote or IT Assessment in any browser. Accounts are for operators only.

Can I bring my own AI? Does AI cost extra?

Every AI feature is bring-your-own-key — Anthropic, OpenAI, or a self-hosted Ollama / LM Studio / vLLM endpoint. You pay your AI provider directly; MSPercury adds no token markup. Every AI feature is optional and can be switched off. With no key configured, the rest of the product works unchanged.

Does my customer billing run through MSPercury?

No. Stripe runs on your account with your API key — money flows directly between you and your customer. MSPercury sees the API response, never the cash. The Solo / Team subscription you pay us is a separate, unrelated Stripe relationship.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes. The web app is a PWA — it installs to any modern phone’s home screen and is offline-tolerant for the IT Assessment flow. A native iOS wrapper built with Capacitor exists; a native Android wrapper sits on the roadmap under Later.

Do you offer a DPA / AVV?

Yes. The template lives at /legal/dpa. Fill it in with your company details, email it to us, and we return a signed copy — usually within a working day. Because everything runs in the EU on named Hetzner data centers, the DPA is short and boring, which is how it should be.

What happens to a quote after the customer accepts it?

The signed PDF is frozen forever — it’s the audit reference and is never touched again. The live quote record stays editable: if you renegotiate a price later, you edit the live record, dashboard MRR follows the new number, and the detail page shows an “Edited after acceptance” banner. The customer’s original signed PDF stays exactly as it was.

Can I cancel and delete my account?

Yes — self-service. Open /settings, scroll to the Danger zone section, and follow it to /settings/account/delete, where you type your email to confirm. You see a blast-radius preview (how many quotes / customers / projects will be deleted) before you commit, then a confirmation email, and the workspace is gone.

How do I export my data?

In /settings. The Data section has a one-click full-workspace ZIP export; the Profile section has a personal-data export (GDPR Art. 15). Both are available any time — export before you delete if you want a copy.

What languages do you support?

English, German, and Spanish — in the UI, in this documentation, and in the generated quote PDFs. The IT Assessment finding library ships pre-translated in all three. Customer-facing surfaces (PDFs, emails, share links, public IT Assessment) prefer the customer’s preferred language over your operator UI — your Spanish customer reads Spanish even when you operate the workspace in German.
